NEW surgical training aid on trial at Queensland Eye Bank.
The Queensland Eye Bank are the first Australian eye bank to participate in Oryx Medical's nationwide trial of "E.S.T.A", the Eye Surgical Training Aid.
"E.S.T.A" offers trainees a superior level of realism compared to other products on the market. "E.S.T.A" has been developed with the input of leading medical practitioners to produce a training aid which is dimensionally and anatomically realistic.
The current model is designed for training the eneucleation procedure and replicates many of the nuances of the procedure including:
- Vitreous to indicate sclera puncture - Accurately scaled lids, cornea, lashes, tenons, conjunctiva, sclera and optic nerve. - Life-like presentation of patient
It is suitable for both suturing and adhesive closure.
"E.S.T.A" is non-toxic and non-perishable, making it the ideal training aid for both conventional and remote training environments.
