Following on from the success of the product in Australian hospitals and eye clinics, the i|wait is now available across Europe and United Kingdom.
The timer oculopressor by Oryx Medical, was launched in Australia in January 2011 and has received excellent feedback from attendants, ophthalmologists and anaesthetists alike.
"There is a surprising number of hospitals still using mercury and lead based weights" says Dr John Taske, Director of Oryx Medical. "The i|wait uses a tungsten polymer, so it is a far safer alternative."
"We received interest from Germany in particular, very early on. With the product now available for sale across the EU, we can now service hospitals and practitioners across the continent.
The i|wait was developed by a group of Australian medical professionals. With practicality and simplicity at the cornerstone of its design, the i|wait offers a simple and safe method for preparing the eye for a range of procedures.
